Iowa Branch of the Ehlers-Danlos National Foundation: Information and Support for Iowa Families with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome

Iowa EDNF Mission:
To provide information and support services to Iowans with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and to serve as an information link to and from the medical community about this rare connective tissue disorder.

Iowa EDNF Branch Goals:

To provide information and emotional support to Iowans with EDS and their families through phone support, a regular newsletter and support group meetings.
To inspire and support local and national research regarding the effects of EDS.
Secure financial support for local operations and national and local research.

2001 Annual Objectives:

To develop and offer a regular newsletter to Iowa members.
To increase communication and support services for Iowa EDNF members through listserv and telecommunications.
To increase attendance at support group meetings by 25%.
To increase Iowa EDNF presence through mass mailings, media coverage, and presentations.
Increase both national and Iowa membership base by 50%.
To raise sufficient finances to cover mailing/operational costs
Sponsor 1 full scholarship to the 2002 EDNF Learning Conference.
